It’s an exciting time to join our company! Established 25 years ago we are a world-leading provider of life-like manikins and training aids to rescue training experts worldwide: Fire & Rescue Services, Paramedics, Ministry of Defence, Airports, National Lifeboat Institutions & Coastguards, Offshore operators and a multitude of International Search & Rescue organisations.
Based in Corwen in rural North Wales, over 70% of our business is exports and we sell into more than 50 countries. In 2018 we won the FSB award for Welsh exporter of the year.
In response to growing global demand and structured investment we have experienced rapid growth over the past few years and have in place plans to double the size of our business again in the next five years.
To support the existing team to achieve this plan we are now looking to recruit a New Product Development Manager to transform our product marketing and create new categories to facilitate this strategic expansion.
With at least 5 years’ experience in (semi-technical) product management/new product development, you will be keen to develop the next phase of your career and take operational responsibility for product management and new product development. You will report jointly to the Managing Director and Business Development Manager.
Having gained an understanding of current operations, the market, and our plans for the future, the successful candidate will be expected to create roadmaps for developing both our existing range and new products and categories. This will include the application of new technologies as applicable, improving the value chain for all stakeholders.
You will drive prototype development and the testing process and will prepare a ‘go-to-market’ strategy for finished products in each case, in conjunction with other members of the team.
You will be expected to meet key performance criteria including the successful launch of new products, creation of new categories and development of existing products.

Skills – You will be highly skilled (and will have had formal training and education) in Marketing and Product Management in a semi-technical product manufacturing environment. You will have strong analytical, research and planning skills but will also possess a creative and visionary flair.
You will be a ‘hands-on’ team player who is comfortable working jointly with production staff and sales and marketing staff to develop ideas and solutions. In your dealings you will be adept at enabling others to perform to the best of their ability through your challenge and support.
You will be process driven and will ensure that these processes are embedded within the organisation in line with ISO disciplines.
Displaying strong leadership you will be able to demonstrate your prior success in growing revenue from new and existing products.
Skills in digital marketing, and knowledge of other languages would be highly valued as part of your application .
We want to recruit the right person to take us on the journey for at least the next 5 years. We are offering a starting salary of £30,000 -£35,000 dependent on experience plus a performance-related bonus, coupled with the opportunity for progression for the right candidate.
